Once again we have a new feature to announce! You can now upload a file 2 different ways in your RCS account.
You can upload a file to a client’s CRM record and you can upload a file to an order.
For example if the client’s company is tax exempt you might want to upload the tax exempt form to keep on record. Or if the client fax over a map to the delivery location you will want to have that attached the order.
Several of our RCS clients requested this feature and we are thrilled to let you know that it has been added to all Pro-Marketing Plus packages.
How to add a file to the customers CRM record:
1 – Click on the CRM tab -then search for the Client and then click on the Client’s Name link.
2 – Click on the Documents icon. Below you will see the section for uploading a document.
3 – To upload you will click on the Choose File tab
4 – You will then select the file you want to upload from your computer (this part may be different with different computers or web browsers)
5 – Once the file name appears you can then click the Upload Document tab
6 – Your file will then appear in the list of documents
7 – To View your upload by clicking on the File link and then the file will download to your computer. You can delete the upload as well under the Action column using the Delete icon
How to add a file to an order:
1 – Click on the Overview tab and then click on the Order Id number
2 – The Order Details Page will appear. Next click on the Choose Function Drop Down box.
3 – Click on the Attach Files link
4 – The box to attach files will appear
Please note you have 2 choices of where to locate the file:
If the file is located on your computer:
5 – Click on the Choose File tab
6 – Next select the File you want to upload. Please note this may look different with different computers or web browsers.
7 – Once you see your file has been uploaded you can then click on Upload File tab
8 – Your file will now be attached to your order and will appear above.
9 – Note you can View the file you have attached or you can Delete the file you have attached.
If the file has already been uploaded to your customer’s CRM record:
10 – Click on the Choose File From the CRM tab
11 – A pop up box will appear with the files you have previously uploaded to the customer’s CRM record. Please note any files you upload to an order will Automatically be uploaded to the customer’s CRM record as well to be stored.
12 – Click the file you want to attach and it will be attached to the order.
13 – The file will then be attached to your Order.
14 -Note you can View the file you have attached or you can Delete the file you have attached.
You have now learned how to attach a file from your computer or the customer CRM record and to an order.
